Kia ora. It has been another massive month for pharmacy. 

Wow, what a month for pharmacy. 

In the eight years I have been with Pharmacy Today, there has never been a time when the sector we write about was free of problems. Today, as I take over as editor, many of the same challenges still exist, some have worsened while others are new.

Contracts aren’t exciting or sexy, but they do make the world go round.

The opening of new Auckland premises for Whakarongorau Aotearoa (formerly Homecare Medical) last month, drew an unusual display of ministerial might which included the prime minister, three Cabinet ministers (including Andrew Little) and media darling Ashley Bloomfield (who obligingly posed for many selfies)

It would have come as some relief to many pharmacists when the Pharmacy Council announced a breather on its plans for ongoing professional development
