MCC considers allowing sale of powdered ibuprofen in pharmacies

AFT Pharmaceuticals has asked the Medicines Classification Committee to reclassify ibuprofen 300mg in powder form as a pharmacist-only medicine, but the Pharmaceutical Society is not so sure.

AFT manufactures a powder form of its combination painkiller product Maxigesic Cold & Flu Hot Drink Double Strength, which contains 1000mg paracetamol
