In 2012, the New Zealand natural health products industry surpassed $1 billion in revenue, according to a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise study, and it continues to grow. Pharmacists are ideally placed to support the quality use of complementary and alternative medicines, and some pharmacists are even carving a niche market offering personalised consultations on holistic health treatments.
