On 19 March, Auckland pharmacist Natalie Gauld met fellow MND NZ fundraiser Allan Bullot, a Deloitte New Zealand partner who for fundraising purposes doubles as a threemetre-tall tree.
Mr Bullot walked from St Heliers to Silo Park and back in the 25kg costume, inspired by Lord of the Rings character Treebeard, to show support for university friend Greg Horton, who has MND.
Mr Bullot has raised more than $10,000 for MND NZ so far.
