Pharmacy Today’s new Pet of the Month feature shines a spotlight on our furry (or feathered) friends. We are asking you, our readers, to join in with pictures and comments on your own adored pets

“She is also a shameless ball thief”

Miss Suki-Bella came into our lives with a tiny woof and hilarious growl last February, after we waited about four months for her bichon frise mum and Maltese-shih tzu dad to create her.

A gorgeous little naughty white bundle of fluff, she helped our family heal after we tragically lost our beloved spoodle, Honey, in 2020.

Suki is delightfully sassy and as smart as they come. Perpetuating the reputation of confident small dogs, she is brave and unafraid of approaching pooches of any size on our local beach, where she is the reigning queen of puppy wrestling.

She is also a shameless ball thief and won’t give them back until she’s done a victory parade for at least five minutes.

Devoted companion

Like many small dogs, she is extraordinarily fond of her people and suffers from severe separation anxiety when left alone. Luckily, I work from home and she’s my constant companion on the job and after hours.

Her favourite food is anything we’re eating (we had a scary experience with unsupervised chocolate) but we’re strict with her dog food-only diet to keep her in good shape and placate her delicate digestion.

We can’t imagine being without this loyal and loving little house wolf, even though she drives us crazy biting and licking our toes and ears.

Suki-Bella – you’re the best!
