I think Michael might have "misspoke." Pharmacists will not be dispensing Melatonin but will in fact be prescribing Melatonin.

Checking the Medsafe Classifications, it appears to state that we will only be able to prescribe Melatonin to >55yos and for only up to 13 weeks.. Is this correct?

Hi Andrew. Yes that is correct

Of course... Just when I was becoming pleased about loosening up the restrictions about this incredibly safe and helpful medicine, I discover I will only be able to prescribe it to a slim proportion of all I had hoped to prescribe to. I was also hoping this would open the door to competition and reasonable prices, but that also seems very unlikely now.
