It’s time for our online Summer Hiatus. While the team at Pharmacy Today takes a break, our annual online offering of the best, quirky and eclectic content kicks off

“The pharmacy sector has again risen to the challenge, and from the media sidelines, we salute you”

We are taking our annual summer break, with the editorial office closing today and re-opening on 17 January 2022.

From tomorrow - 18 December, pharmacytoday.co.nz will be serving up a carefully curated collection of news and features from our archives and elsewhere – articles we think deserve a second read.

We’ll also be sharing interesting articles from The Conversation and, in January, focusing on education with our CLASS articles from 2021. Hopefully, many pharmacists will get some time over the summer break to delve further into recertification requirements, and maybe one of the five CLASS articles will help you on your way.

We’ve been making changes to the website over the past year, and you can now find all our new education content on this site. Check out the navigation bar at the top of the home page – we’ve put together a full list of our education articles with a separate section for CLASS.

As well, we’ve added the “Capture” feature so you can make your own list of interesting and relevant reading material.

Never a dull moment

So, it’s Meri Kirihimete from us and ngā mihi o te tau hou (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year) from the team at Pharmacy Today.

It’s been a crazy, chaotic and exhausting year for pharmacy but for us it’s been an absolute pleasure to bring you the news, with all the sudden changes and about-turns (thank you, Ministry of Health) that the arrival of COVID-19 has brought.

The pharmacy sector has again risen to the challenge, and from the media sidelines, we salute you.

While we’re away

While we’re away, our accounts and subscription staff are able to answer your queries up to 23 December and they are back on board from 5 January 2022. They can be contacted on 09 488 4286 or enquiries@thehealthmedia.co.nz.

If you don’t yet have your subscriber login, or have forgotten your password, please go to https://www.pharmacytoday.co.nz/user/password. Enter your email address for your Pharmacy Today subscription account and submit. Password reset instructions will be sent to your registered email address.

Fresh editorial will be posted almost daily, and much of it will be free to share with family and friends so keep checking for new reads, or maybe to rediscover past content.

And while your perusing the website don’t forget out past issues here, and maybe dip into He Ako Hiringa – it’s education aimed at reducing inequity in access to medicines and it is produced by Matui – a joint venture involving Pharmacy Today’s publisher, The Health Media.

Free classifieds and subscriptions

While we are out you will still be able to access our Free Classifieds service.

If you’re looking to add a subscription to your practice we have a range of combo deals, monthly subscriptions and a special rate for interns and students. Check it out at subscription page.

Comments close

From today the Comments function on the website will be turned off until Monday 17 January. But if you have to get something off your chest don’t hesitate to write a letter to the editor – editor@pharmacytoday.co.nz

We’ll be back

We resume our website news and weekly newsletter on the week of 17 January 2022, and the first print edition will be published in early February.

That’s all for 2021. Thanks for reading and even more, thanks for subscribing to us. The team here at Pharmacy Today truly appreciate your support.
