Win for Weleda at Paris Sustainable Beauty Awards

Weleda and L'Oreal USA - Garnier have both won their categories in the inaugural Sustainable Beauty Awards held in Paris this month (21 October).

Weleda won the Sustainability Leadership Award and L'Oreal USA - Garnier won the Sustainability Award.

The awards recognise companies that are pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry.

The award honours cosmetic, ingredient and other related organisations making a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of the beauty industry.

The winners are:

Sustainability Pioneer Award  

  • Runner-up: Apivita 
  • Winner: L'Oreal USA - Garnier

Sustainability Leadership Award

  • Runner-up: Firmenich
  • Winner: Weleda

Sustainable Packaging Award

  •  Runner-up: You Organic Skincare
  • Winner: Lab. Expanscience Mustela

  Sustainable Ingredient Award

  •   Runner-up: AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry
  •   Winner: Int. Flavors & Fragrances

Green Formulations Award

  •   Runner-up: Alteya Organics
  •   Winner: Jasmin Aromatique Skincare

 Winners benefit from media coverage of the event and industry recognition of their sustainability achievements.

Finalists also benefit from industry recognition of their sustainability endeavours.
