Paris Sustainable Beauty Award finalists announced

Paris Sustainable Beauty Award finalists announcedBeauty product companies making a significant contribution to sustainability will be awarded in Paris this month

Garnier, Weleda and Dr Bronner's Magic Soaps are all finalists in the inaugural Sustainable Beauty Awards to be held in Paris on 21 October.

Organiser Organic Monitor received over 100 award entries from beauty companies in Europe, North & Latin America, Asia, Australasia and Africa, the global organic research and consulting company says in a press release.

The winners of each awards category will be announced at the Sustainable Beauty Awards reception at the Paris Marriott Champs Elysées hotel, hosted alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit.

The finalists are:

Sustainability Pioneer: Apivita, L'Oreal USA - Garnier, Primavera Life
The sustainability pioneer award goes to a cosmetic or ingredient firm that is a leader in some aspect of sustainability.

Sustainability Leadership: Firmenich, Laboratoires Expanscience, Weleda
This award is given to a cosmetics or ingredients firm that is showing overall leadership across several areas aspects of sustainability.

Sustainable Packaging: Laboratoires Expanscience, Seventh Generation, You Organic Skincare
This award goes to a cosmetics brand / packaging firm with a new packaging that has a low environmental footprint in terms of design and / or materials.

Sustainable Ingredient: Alban Muller International, AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry, International Flavors & Fragrances
This award is given to a cosmetic ingredient that makes a significant difference in sustainability, in terms of environmental and / or social impact.

Green Formulations: Alteya Organics, Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, Jasmin Skincare
This award is given to a cosmetic brand with a high level of natural / organic ingredients in product formulations.
