Injury Prevention Partner - Infection Prevention

Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve lives every day. ACC is increasing its investment in injury prevention and implementing an ambitious Injury Prevention Strategy.

In this role, you will work closely with the health sector to address the critical fiscal risk of treatment injuries to the ACC Scheme, to understand where treatment injuries occur and what causes them, and to implement interlocking and targeted cost-effective programmes to reduce the severity and incidence of treatment injury in New Zealand.

You will have a good understanding of the hospital system, either as a clinician or from a public health or health science background. You will have experience of leading strategies and change programmes and will be familiar with system changes. There is a preference that you will be well-networked within the health sector. You will be a team player
What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:

  • Tertiary or advanced qualification in a health profession or other relevant field. If clinically qualified, current practicing certificate is not a requirement
  • Practical experience at implementing programmes within the health sector, especially those with a focus on prevention or best clinical practice
  • Significant experience in programme development, implementation, management and evaluation
  • Leadership experience, with either direct people leadership or leadership of project teams
