Who we are

We are a health communication company focused on providing primary care professionals (pharmacists, general practitioners, nurses, practice managers) with news and education specific to their needs and interests.

The role:

In this role you will:

  • Drive awareness and adoption of He Ako Hiringa free education products.
  • Act as the stakeholder representative in a multi-disciplinary team comprising of programme manager, data scientists, clinical editors and writers, clinicians, subject matter experts, clinical and cultural advisors, and online learning specialists.

What skills/knowledge is required?

Some or all of the following skills are sought for this role:

You have experience working as a clinician in New Zealand, maybe with experience in clinical quality and equity initiatives within the primary care or PHO environment

You have significant experience working with medicines and understand the value of medicines datasets and how they can be used to drive quality improvement

You have expertise in complex stakeholder management, with experience in documenting and evaluating the quality and extent of your relationship management

You have experience working in a commercial business model, ideally in a business to business environment, delivering to a pre-agreed deadlines within budget. Note, He Ako Hiringa products are provided at no cost to clinicians, however we are required to meet usage targets.

You have excellent verbal and written communication, including confidence and ability to present in public forums, trade shows and workshops

You have a good understanding of the professional development requirements of primary care clinicians

You can use the Microsoft office suite of tools confidently and a range of cloud-based software tools such as web content management software, Mailchimp and Survey monkey.

A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in order to improve Māori health and overall social outcomes.

You enjoy the challenge of working fast, accurately and to regular deadlines. Chances are you a high-achieving pragmatist, rather than perfectionist.

What other expectations are there?

The job requires the ability to occasionally travel overnight to different parts of New Zealand and attendance at weekend clinical conferences

The role will require that 70% of the annual leave is taken over the Christmas/New Year period annually

The role is in Auckland’s North Shore, there is free carparking and flexible working hours. For suitable applicants, working from home, and from other parts of New Zealand will be considered.

Our staff visit health sites and promote evidence-based medicine to clinicians. We prefer our team to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
