Free symposium at Dementia Conference on diagnosing and treating dementia

27 May

A free symposium at this year's Alzheimers New Zealand conference will help primary health care professionals better understand and treat dementia - New Zealand's fourth leading cause of death - while helping fulfil their professional development requirements.

The Ministry of Health supported, day-long symposium will be held in Wellington on Sunday 27 May as part of the four-day Future Faces of Dementia Conference. It is designed specifically for Primary Health Professionals from both the public and private sectors, including general practitioners, nurse practitioners, and primary health respondents.

While the Sunday May 27 symposium is free, thanks to Ministry of Health and Pub Charity sponsorship, those wishing to take part still need to register.

To register for the symposium or the conference, and tp find out more about the speakers, programme, registration options and social events, visit:  www.conference.alzheimers.org.nz or contact Alzheimers New Zealand directly on 04 381 2362.
